GCWA Friday Night Inferno

*The screen slowly comes up on a view of an artwork apparently just sitting there. It's a simple design, as it just shows one number on it. The number "2020". Suddenly, flames can be seen, licking at the artwork, setting it aflame right in front of our eyes.*

The Accelerator: The year 2020 will be remembered for likely the rest of our lives as the craziest year ever. It deserves to burn... and more...

*Gunfire can be heard ringing out, as bullets rip through the artwork in various spots, leaving large holes even as the fire continues to burn. The spot with "2020" is starting to become unrecognizable.*

The Accelerator: But it's also a year that deserves to be remembered for other reasons... especially those that happened in the Global Championship Wrestling Association...

*As the flames eat away at the framework, we begin to see images through the flames. There's a shot of Ed Houston holding up the World Heavyweight Championship, competing fiercely against every competitor coming his way. We see the rise of Mack O'Connor, fighting his way to the top of the GCWA to take the top prize. We see shots of Chelsea LeClair making a historic run, taking over at the top, along with James Raven being crowned the champion. Other shots bleed in, including The Big Bifford standing triumphant after Ultimate Survival, Duce Jones battling Mike Zybala in a cemetery, The A-List and Sports Entertainment Xpress meeting in War Games, and more. We see the coming of wrestlers like E.W. Montgomery, Outcast, Shawn Warstein, and more, all of them taking over in their own unique ways. We see clips from the recent Righteous Rumble, one of the biggest events in the GCWA's history. As all this is going on, the flames somehow seem to be growing stronger.*

The Accelerator: 2020 may be remembered as the year of the Pandemic... but it will also be recognized as one of the greatest years in the GCWA's history... tonight... we honor the events of the year, even as we spit on 2020... let's get it done, boyos!

*A number appears at the bottom of the remains of the artwork, counting down. The subsequent explosion takes down the artwork and the wall behind it, leaving us in darkness as everything collapses. After a moment, though, the usual entry screen comes up.*

"BANG BANG, BANG BANG, BANG BANG, THIS FIRE'S A WEAPON... BANG BANG, BANG BANG, BANG BANG, WON'T STOP 'TIL WE'RE LEGEND!"

*Throughout the flames, images of the various wrestlers competing in the company flash by, some doing their signature maneuvers, others posing for the camera. As the music hits a crescendo, the screen blows apart, and we find ourselves in the GCWA Studios! Three people are sitting in front of the cameras, sitting on comfortable chairs for once instead of on hard-back chairs at ringside. Adrian Rockwell and Hood nod towards the camera, while Deana Barrows gives one of her Mona Lisa-style smiles.*

Rockwell: Hello, everyone, and welcome to a special edition of Friday Night Inferno!

Hood: Tonight, we're honoring the best of the best from the year 2020, as we hand out the 2020 Ace Awards!!

Rockwell: These awards are named after our illustrious founder, The Accelerator, given out every year we've been open. This is why I'm surprised that Ace himself isn't here, Deana.

Deana Barrows: Well, my father is a pretty busy man, even at his age, Adrian. I guess he felt his other business was too important to be here tonight. But I'll happily represent the family, as it's been a banner year...

Rockwell: I would have thought for sure that Ace would be here... but oh well. Right now, let's get this party started! We have several wrestlers waiting around the area, excited to find out if they're winning awards tonight. Let's check in on a few of them...

*We cut to the A-List locker room where it's a full house this time. Lord Allton, Vincenzo Larossia and Tank Terrell have decided to be in attendance to see whether Dylan will be the recipient for the Shannon Shag-Nasty award two years running.*

Allton: So... tell me... what is the Shannon Shag-Nasty award?

Dave: 'Prick of the Year'.

*Dylan glances over at Dave and both smirk at one another. Lord Allton looks at Lissandra for confirmation who shrugs.*

Lissandra: He's right... Surely baby... you've got this one in the bag...

Dylan: If last year's anything to go by... I still don't know how I won over Ian though. Maybe I'm just that much of an asshole, huh?

*Dylan looks to the camera and winks.*

Allton: Well... should you win tonight Dylan, I would be honored to be there with you.

*We cut backstage to where Lucas Thames and Josie are in Lucas' locker room. Lucas is increasingly uncomfortable because he's in a suit. Josie is straightening his tie.*

Josie: Keep still, honey. I'm trying to get your tie straight.

Lucas: I don't know about this babe... you know I hate wearing suits.

Josie: Look, think of it this way... It's good practice for the wedding.

*Lucas shrugs.*

Josie: The 'Garrett Jax Role Model' award. You should be proud...

Lucas: It's not a foregone conclusion that I've won yet, Josie. Mike is also up for the award as well.

*Josie shakes her head and kisses her man on the cheek.*

Josie: Humble as always. You're a good man Luke.

Lucas: I'm so glad you could be with me for tonight, babe.

*Josie and Lucas kiss as we cut away to a shot in the sub-basement of the GCWA Arena. It appears to be where Xtreme is currently hanging out.*

Xtreme: Heh heh heh...

*Xtreme turns to the side, seeing Tony The Spider sitting there.*

Tony The Spider: If they only knew... hahahahahaha!!

*The two men laugh, as we cut back to the GCWA Studios.*

Rockwell: Many more are still waiting, so shall we officially get started?

Deana Barrows: Let's get this first award out of the way. The GCWA Hard Luck Award is given to the wrestler who showed some great potential in the ring time and time again, yet struggled when it came to the lights of the Pay-Per-View stage. We've had well-known stars hold this award in the past, including Dangerous Dan and last year's entry, The Incredible One.

Hood: I thought this would have been the perfect award for Mike Zybala this year, but I guess he's gotten lucky enough...

Deana Barrows: First, our runner-up this year... Anderson Haze!!

*We get some footage of Anderson Haze competing at Ultimate Survival, as well as in multiple Television Title matches. While he puts on a show, the victories don't seem to come. We see Haze meeting up against men like The Big Bifford, Eliminator, Ryot, and more. We cut back to the studio.*

Rockwell: I had times I really thought Anderson Haze was going to take off...

Hood: Guy earned some valuable experience, he's probably tearing it up somewhere else.

Deana Barrows: And now, the winner of the GCWA Hard Luck Award... John E. Depth!!

*Footage rolls of John E Depth making his first appearance in the GCWA, which was a slightly different look from where he ended up. We see Depth's rivalry with Jack Puffer, the two having been OCW 'jobbers' at the same time. But Depth continuously came up short against Puffer, losing to the majority of his team at Ultimate Survival. The two are shown becoming 'allies' in the Mustard Factory, but Depth's betrayal of Puffer led to a war between the two also involving Derek Mobley and Warrick Hill. Their final confrontation took place at Darkness Falls, with Depth's GCWA career ending in a Loser Leaves Town match to Puffer. We see Depth's dejected face at the end before returning to the studio.*

Deana Barrows: As you know, traditionally these awards take on the names of the ones who exemplify them the best. From now on, this award will be officially named the John E Depth Hard Luck Award!

Hood: In lieu of a speech from Depth, who, of course, isn't with us anymore, I thought we'd air a clip from one of his new movies!

Rockwell: Wait, what?

Hood: Roll it!

*The view changes to a shot in someone's poorly lit kitchen. We see a man leaning under the sink, his muscular arms working on the plumbing. He makes an adjustment and stands up, turning back to where a woman is apparently standing. We only see between her legs as she stands there. The muscular man stands up, smiling.*

Man: I'm going to need to do something with your pipes.

Woman: Are you going to use your... plunger?

*The man opens his mouth to respond, but the footage suddenly cuts off. We return to the studio, where Deana is leaning over the control panel, having hit a button. She glares at the man sitting behind the panel, who looks panicked.*

Deana Barrows: Don't ever... do that... again...

Rockwell: Hood... what the fuck??

Hood: What's everyone so freaked out about? It's a great scene! You see, when she refers to the plunger, she really means...

Rockwell: Shut up, Hood. I'm sorry, Ms. Barrows. You know Hood, he's an idiot, sometimes...

Deana Barrows: Let's just... move on, shall we?

*Deana takes a moment to compose herself before continuing.*

Deana Barrows: Our next award is the companion of the John E Depth Hard Luck Award, given to the wrestler who is known for having incredible success on the biggest stages. The GCWA Mr. Pay-Per-View Award can lead to the Hall of Fame, such as it did for Draco. It can also be held by someone who has an amazing year, like last year's recepient, "Mad Dog" Mark Wright. This year, we had two runners-up who fit the former category: GCWA Hall of Famer The Big Bifford and "The People's G.O.A.T." James Raven!

*As Deana looks away, a little disappointed, we cut to a review of both men from 2020. We see The Big Bifford winning throughout the rounds of Ultimate Survival, claiming the crown at the end of the finals. We also see his near victory at the Righteous Rumble, with it taking a large group to finally end his run. We then see James Raven teaming with Jackson Hart to win the GCWA World Tag-Team Titles. Raven's singles competition is also shown, with him holding the World Heavyweight Title high above with a large smile on his face.*

Hood: I'm surprised Raven's a runner-up here, he deserved this one.

Rockwell: Maybe some people held it against him that he didn't actually pin someone to win the World Title.

Hood: That's stupid, he earned that belt, he shouldn't be penalized due to She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named...

Deana Barrows; *Ahem* Many might call the winner of this award a surprise, but he has been on a tremendous roll since he returned to the GCWA. The winner of the GCWA Mr. Pay-Per-View award... Outcast!!

*The replays begin to roll, showing Outcast making his surprising return to the GCWA. We see Outcast win a Golden Opportunity Triple Threat, taking down Noah Jackson & Aaron Warthog. It's followed by Outcast's war with The Lost Soul, ending in the Trick or Treat match with Outcast winning the GCWA Unified X-Division Title. We see him competing in the Two Falls, Two Titles match at Darkness Falls, keeping the X-Division Title, before ending with his competition in the Righteous Rumble. We finish up with a return to the studio.*

Hood: If someone would have told me Outcast would be returning and having such a strong run in the GCWA in 2020, I would have said, "Who?"

Rockwell: Hey, Outcast had some big moments in the GCWA before this year, it'd just been before both of our times. Now, modern audiences have seen what many have known for years, that Outcast is a dangerous wrestler.

Deana Barrows: Yes, he can be. I still remember the dynamite in that Trick or Treat match, that was a costly explosion for the federation. Although I guess I can't blame Outcast fully for it, which is why he wasn't billed...

Rockwell: Anyhow, congratulations, Outcast! We'll continue the awards after this quick break!

*We come back to the GCWA Studios with Rockwell, Hood, and even Deana looking a little thrown off after that video.*

Rockwell: That's the second time we've had something like that play recently. Deana, do you know anything about this?

Deana Barrows: I must admit, it is something I need to look more into. "The Horseman"... I'm certainly concerned...

Hood: Hopefully we'll find out soon, because those videos are freaking me out!

Deana Barrows: We should just keep moving forward for now... our next award...

*Suddenly, "Leave You Far Behind" by Lunatic Calm begins to play in the room, with the door opening nearby. The Accelerator wheels himself in, smiling. He appears to be wearing his best tuxedo.*

Deana Barrows: Dad! You... made it...

The Accelerator: Sorry I'm late, Deana. My limo driver apparently had directions to drive me all around Dallas and Ft. Worth rather than bringing me straight here. Of course, a few hundreds changed his mind on that...

*Deana, looking uncomfortable for a moment, shakes it off and steps forward, dutifully giving her father a hug. Rockwell also steps in to give him a handshake.*

Rockwell: Great to see you, Ace! Have a good holidays?

The Accelerator: As good as one can with one son in jail, one son missing, and my daughter, well, being a Barrows. How about you?

Rockwell: Can't complain. The bonus really helped out this year, so thank you.

Hood: Wait, bonus??

Deana Barrows: Guys, as nice as this little moment is, we're live, after all. Shall we get to the next award?

The Accelerator: Sure, Deana, which one is it? Aahhhh, The Garrett Jax Role Model Award, named after a really good friend of mine. I love it, I'm glad I got here in time for this...

*Ace reaches over and takes the award envelope away from Deana, who steps back, shaking her head.*

The Accelerator: Some great guys have won this award in the past. I believe "The Good Detective" Jack Puffer won it last year. This one goes to the wrestler who has been the best role model for our younger fans, the one who shows them how they should live their lives. Our runner-up, according to this card here, was a true role model to many young ladies in the world today... Chelsea LeClair!

*Video rolls on Chelsea LeClair coming into her own in 2020, winning the North American Championship over Noah Hanson and Lucas Thames at Warriors of the Ring V. We then see LeClair shocking the world on Inferno by winning the World Heavyweight Championship, with shots showing her celebrate on the turnbuckle with the belt. We see a few shots of LeClair with fans at ringside, with many of them wearing the proper face masks to be so close to her.*

Deana Barrows: I wasn't that much of a fan of LeClair early on, but I do have to say she set a much better example than others...

The Accelerator: I'm actually surprised she didn't win, but apparently there was one man who revealed more of his good character and nobility to the fans. Plus, he opened a Red Robin here, so he's certainly earned points for that...

Hood: Oh no... you don't mean...

The Accelerator: The winner of the GCWA Garrett Jax Role Model Award in 2020 is.. Mike Zybala!!

*Just before the footage plays, we see Hood falling to his knees. The video then runs, showing Mike Zybala in some of his charity work with the kids for both Outsiders and the GCWA. We also see Zybala battling in the ring, putting on the best fights he can for the crowd and for himself. This includes some of his defenses of the GCWA Unified X-Division Title during his five month reign with the belt. We finish with a smiling Zybala welcoming people into the Red Robin restaurant, possibly right before the Red Robin Wedding.*

Rockwell: A truly deserving winner, don't you think, Hood?

The Accelerator: I get the feeling Mr. Hood isn't going to be talking for a little while, Adrian.

Rockwell: Probably for the best. The choices were either catatonia or cursing...

Deana Barrows: I'm told we have footage of the award being accepted... oh my...

*We go to a shot from Exile Island, where wee see the Alpha of the orangutans standing. He has the Role Model Award in his hands, apparently accepting on behalf of Zybala. His free hand moves with some sign language as he talks.*

Alpha: *Many orangutan sounds*

*The Alpha raises the award up before the shot cuts out.*

Rockwell: Too bad none of us speak orangutan. That was probably an amazing speech.

The Accelerator: I caught some of the sign language. Very moving.

Deana Barrows: *Sigh* This show is getting worse and worse. Let's go to the next award. This one is named after another one of my father's... associates...

The Accelerator: I wonder if that son of a bitch is dead yet?

Deana Barrows: The Shannon Shag-Nasty Villainy award is still an impressive accomplishment, in spite of the name. This is given to the wrestler who earned the most ire from the typical wrestling fan throughout the year. Dylan Thomas won this last year, representing the A-List. Once again, we had a very close contest, with the decision coming down to one vote. Our runner-up for this award... James Raven!

*As the footage runs, we see James Raven joining with the rest of Legacy to become the hated group they area today. Raven is shown coming out for his coronation at Darkness Falls, being handed the World Heavyweight Title. We leave his smug face to go back to the studio.*

Rockwell: I must admit, that one surprises me...

The Accelerator: I can think of someone else who's probably hated more... but then, none of my family round their way into the awards nominations, I believe...

Deana Barrows: There was one person, father, who earned even more rage from the crowd over the past few months than even James Raven did. The winner of the Shannon Shag-Nasty Villainy award... Shawn Warstein!!

*We cut to the video footage of Warstein making his debut in the Ultimate Survival tournament, almost immediately becoming hated for his willingness to do whatever it took to win. We also see Warstein winning the North American Title, holding it as his prize inside the Legacy, as well as his eliminating Mike Zybala during the Righteous Rumble. We go back to the studio.*

Rockwell: Ahhh, makes sense.

The Accelerator: Man knows how to rile up the crowd, gotta give it to him...

Deana Barrows: By the way, I will be accepting all of the awards for Legacy tonight, as, well, they had better things to do that to come here after New Years.

*Deana raises up the award, smiling at it, before putting it away behind her.*

The Accelerator: I'm sure Warstein is very appreciative of it.

Deana Barrows: He will be once he receives the bonus for winning the award.

Rockwell: Shall we keep going? I mean, I know Hood's still out of it, but...

Hood: Huh? What's it.. huh?

Rockwell: Oh, there he is. Hood, we're about to get to another award...

The Accelerator: Let's see here, what's next?

*Ace reaches over and grabs another envelope, to the annoyance of Deana.*

Deana Barrows: I have those carefully organized, Dad...

The Accelerator: Which is why I grabbed the one on top, dear Deana. Okay, this is a good one, The GCWA Prime Time Player Award. This is the one for wrestlers who can succeed in practically any kind of match, from one-on-one to hardcore, from high-flying to submission. I'll be the first to say that I was more of a power guy, but I did have a few tricks up my sleeves when things got extreme... but I digress. Our runner-up for this one... Mike Zybala!!

Hood: Fuck...

*The footage rolls on Zybala again, showing him in a variety of fights. We see him working with Lucas Thames and Ed Houston in tag-team affairs, competing in all sorts of risky matches with the Unified X-Division title on the line, and finish up with a few shots from his Blood Feud match with Dylan Thomas and his graveyard battles with Duce Jones.*

Rockwell: You okay, Hood?

Hood: At least he didn't win this time...

The Accelerator: No, but I thought he was going to. Too bad. Instead, the winner is... really? We've got another victory for Shawn Warstein!

*Footage rolls, showing Warstein competing in Triple Threats and tag-team matches. We also see Warstein battling in the Righteous Rumble, willing to take on numerous competitors at once. The footage finishes with one more shot of Warstein as the North American Champion.*

The Accelerator: Huh, I wouldn't have said Warstein was in a large variety of matches...

Deana Barrows: The fans know to vote for the best competitors, father. Warstein earned this one, and I'll make sure he gets it right along with the other one... and whichever ones are to come...

Rockwell: We've got more awards on their way, so stay with us!

*We see Deana placing the Prime Time Player award next to the Villainy award, with Ace giving them a slightly suspicious glance. He hasn't forgotten how Deana cleverly manipulated the Righteous Rumble drawing just a few weeks ago. We go to commercial break.*

*We come back to the GCWA Studios, joining Deana Barrows, The Accelerator, Adrian Rockwell, and Hood.*

Rockwell: We're making good progress tonight, as we continue to remember the great moments of 2020!

The Accelerator: There were truly some fabulous ones, including some that will never be forgotten by our fans. Of course, the most dramatic moments came with some of the smallest crowds on record due to COVID, but that doesn't diminish their meaning...

Deana Barrows: Let's look back on the year that was!

*The screen blanks out for a moment, before we begin to see some of the greatest angles that took place throughout the year. The video starts with shots from the Incredible One's birthday celebration thrown in January 2020 by the A-List. The event is destroyed by a surprise attack from Jack Puffer on TIO, sending TIO into his birthday cake with Under The Lights. We next see Mike Zybala in a referee's uniform, seemingly favoring The A-List over Ed Houston & Jack Puffer. But Zybala soon had enough, threatening to DQ the A-List (getting him attacked). Houston & Puffer got the victory.*

*We jump from that to a few spliced together shots. The Lost Soul, Dangerous Dan, and Duce Jones attacking The Big Bifford after coming out of a wooden fish. Noah Hanson getting soaked in mustard at the Mustard Factory. Barry shockingly rolling up Mike Zybala for the victory, starting his 'unpinnable' streak. We see the battles at the Mustard Factory, Terry Marshall getting attacked by masked men (later revealed to be The A-List), Jack Puffer turning on John E Depth, and Jackson Hart & Noah Jackson battling ghosts at ringside.*

Rockwell: Damn. We've had a lot of crazy shit going on this year, haven't we?

The Accelerator: I missed some of those, but that trojan fish one? That still makes me laugh...

Deana Barrows: Indeed. But there were only two moments that could win the Angle of the Year for the GCWA. In the runner-up position... it's a personal favorite of mine... The Legacy Era Begins!

*The video begins, showing us the finish of the main event at Fright or Flight. We then see Deana Barrows coming out to congratulate the two competitors, before all of Legacy came out to attack them, taking both out. They then announced that The Legacy Era had begun. We cut back to the studio.*

Deana Barrows: Good times.

The Accelerator: That was also the night Jonathan was sent to jail for what he supposedly did to myself and Hunter. His trial comes up later this year, you know...

Deana Barrows: All I can hope is that justice will be served.

Rockwell: So that surprisingly wasn't our top angle of the year? What beat it out?

Deana Barrows: ...

*Ace takes the envelope from Deana, taking a quick peek.*

The Accelerator: Ahh, of course. Voters do tend to remember best what's happened the most recently, don't they? The winner of the Angle of the Year award... "James Raven's Coronation, & The Return of the Mack!"

*As the video rolls from Darkness Falls, we see Deana Barrows leading out Legacy to the ring to award James Raven the GCWA World Heavyweight Championship. Raven's speech is interrupted, though, by The Accelerator, making his return and being wheeled out by Mike Zybala. Ace cued in on Raven saying he would face anyone, being joined by E.W. Montgomery and Jack Puffer... before Mack O'Connor stunned everyone by walking out to face Raven for the championship. We see a few shots of the furious battle that would end in a No-Contest, setting the stage for the match at the Righteous Rumble.*

*Deana, shaking her head slightly, goes to collect the award, moving it towards the Warstein pile. Ace, however, quickly snatches it from her, smiling.*

The Accelerator: I'll make sure our World Champion gets this, thanks, Deana. Don't worry, your friends will still get their bonus...

Rockwell: It truly was a stunning moment. Just when it seemed the GCWA was in a downward spiral, Mack O'Connor reappeared when no one expected it.

Hood: Yeah, I thought he still had 7-20 years to go...

Deana Barrows: Yes, well, there will be a reckoning for that, father... but tonight isn't the night to worry about it. We still have so many awards to go!

The Accelerator: Let's see some of the best rivalries of the past year, as they vied for Best Feud of the Year!

*The video roll hits again, starting us off with some of the battles between Ed Houston & Jack Puffer and The A-List, with Mike Zybala being drawn in as well. Tony Savage brawls with "Mad Dog" Mark Wright, followed by Ed Houston, Mack O'Connor, and later The Big Bifford and PerZag becoming involved around the GCWA World Title. The bloody battle between Dylan Thomas and Mike Zybala flashes through in black and white. We see The A-List and Sports Entertainment Xpress fighting it out inside a War Games cell, Mack O'Connor exchanging blows with Chad Vargas, and Outcast and The Lost Soul trying to destroy each other in a Trick or Treat brawl.*

Rockwell: There have been some thrilling rivalries in 2020.

Hood: Really a shame we can't vote for Chelsea LeClair here without mentioning her opponent...

Rockwell: It's the way of the world, Hood.

Deana Barrows: I do think not having the Legacy more represented here was a crime...

The Accelerator: I just went with those feuds that had won Feud of the Month, Deana. Unfortunately for Legacy, they weren't featured much there.

Deana Barrows: We'll have to fix that in 2021...

The Accelerator: So let's get to our runner-up. It was truly a war that had a definitive ending... the war between Duce Jones and Mike Zybala!

*We switch to the running feud between Duce Jones and Mike Zybala, as the two men continued to involve themselves in each other's matches over the fall of 2020. We also see Byson Kaliban and Brim siding with Duce, while Zybala got back-up from Peter "The Janitor" Vaughn, among others. When it became clear that there wasn't room in the GCWA for both of them, Zybala put out the challenge of a Buried Alive match, a war that took place at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City at Fright or Flight. It ended with Jones getting buried, having not been seen in the GCWA since then.*

Hood: Man, that match brings back such great memories... in spite of the ending...

Rockwell: I know you were really hoping Zybala would be the one underground, Hood...

Hood: Yeah, but he'd never stay there. Not like you can bury a ghost...

Deana Barrows: And now, the winner of Feud of the Year for 2020... The Nefarious Wrestling Outsiders vs. The Sins of the Fathers!!

*The footage begins with the Sins of the Fathers appearing in the GCWA in a Gauntlet match for the Tag-Team Titles, a match that also involved Sports Entertainment Xpress. We see S.E.X. slowly turning dark, becoming the Nefarious Wrestling OUtsiders, and beginning a war between them and SotF as both teams tried to get to the belts around Legacy's waists. The Sins of the Fathers manage it first, winning away the belts, only for the NWO to steal them away a week later. This all led to them facing off in a Hell In A Cell match at The Righteous Rumble.*

The Accelerator: I tell you, I love seeing Marcus Ka'Derrion winning an award in 2020!

Deana Barrows: Of course, due to some technical difficulties, only the live audience saw the match between the two teams at The Righteous Rumble. It's time to change that, don't you think?

The Accelerator: For once, we're in agreement, daughter.

Rockwell: Wait, do you mean...

The Accelerator: It's time for a replay! Let's go to the match from The Righteous Rumble, in its entirety!!

Hood: Oh, hell yes, wrestling on this show!!!

Tag-Team Match
Nefarious Wrestling Outsiders (Dark Lord & Madness)(c) (1-0) vs. The Sins of the Fathers (Xavier Lux & Marcus Ka'Derrion (7-3)

*The cell slowly lowers down over the ring as eerie music and an ominous red-light shine throughout the arena. As the cell reaches the ring, crew members can be seen scurrying in the darkness finishing the cell set up.*

Rockwell: Well, it is time for Hell in a Cell to finally happen.

Hood: You know what they say, third time's a charm.

Rockwell: I have a feeling that this match is going to be well worth the wait.

Hood: Deana should have just rented a giant field and let them have a tank battle instead.

Rockwell: That would be over the edge.

*The music fades out and the house lights come up as the cell construction is finished. The song "Do Your Worst" by Rival Sons begins to play, causing the fans to turn towards the entrance. "Sins of the Fathers" is displayed on the big screen and the crowd, who by now has gotten to their feet, cheer loudly as Paco "The Drinking Time Bomb" Perez comes out carrying the World Heavyweight Tag Team championships over each one of his shoulders. He stands right at the top of the entrance with a smile on his face, and then Marcus Ka'Derrion and Xavier Lux come out causing the crowd to cheer even louder. They stand at each side of Paco and then he drapes a title over each one of their shoulder and makes his way down the ramp. They do their usual side fist bump to each other and then follow suit. *

Minos: First the challengers, being lead to the ring by their manager Paco "The Drinking Time Bomb" Perez, at a total combined weight of 445 lbs...the team of "Venom" Xavier Lux and GCWA Hall of Famer, "The Prince of Pain" Marcus Ka'Derrion... Sins of the Fathers!!!

Rockwell: Lux and Ka'Derrion look like they are ready for this match, looking more focused then I have seen them look in a while.

Hood: They out all their eggs in the rematch basket, they lose tonight and it will be a long time before they get another tag team title opportunity.

*The lights drop in the arena and "Keep Me" by the Black Keys begins to play over the PA. The crowd gives a bit of a mixed reaction, but leans mostly towards boos. White strobe lights flash at the top of the entrance way where the crew of the Desolator stand playing to the crowd. The members part to either side of the entrance way and give that cool Scott Hall point where they bend at the waist and do the double point. Madness and Dark Lord step into the entrance way with the GCWA tag team titles over there shoulders and a look of confidence on their faces.*

Rockwell: It appears Madness and Dark Lord have not had the same change of heart that Terry Marshall had.

Hood: Good, because the NWO is supposed to be for life.

*The NWO slowly walk to ringside where they stop in front of the cage and do a group "Too Sweet". Madness and Dark Lord hand the titles off to a ring side attendant.*

Minos: Their opponents... weighing a combined 520 lbs... representing the Nefarious Wrestling Outsiders... here are the GCWA Tag-Team Champions of the World... Dark Lord & Madness!!

*Xavier and Marcus waste no time and attack as soon as Dark Lord and Madness begin coming through the cage. Marcus clubs Dark Lord across the back with a forearm and then drags him by the hair through the ropes, while Xavier and hammering Madness with right hands. Marcus takes a page out of the hockey fight play book and pulls Dark Lords jacket over his head and firing left and right hooks to the head and body. Xavier has moved in-between the ring and cell wall with Madness and hammer Madness down to the mat. First Mate Rodman begins entering the cell door, but Xavier sees him coming and jumps over Madness and lands a forearm to the chin of Rodman knocking Rodman out of the doorway and onto the rest of the NWO crew. The officials quickly slam the door shut and begin locking it.*

Rockwell: It didn't take long for the Desolator crew to try and get involved.

Hood: Well duh, that is the point of having a crew.

*Dark Lord has pulled the jacket off but has stumbled back into the corner as Marcus is still hammering him. Marcus grabs Dark Lord and shoots him across the ring into the turnbuckle where Dark Lord hits hard chest first and staggers out, only to catch a hard charging forearm from Marcus to the lower back. Dark Lord falls to his knees and Marcus grabs Dark Lord by the hair and slams his head into the mat. Xavier rolls Madness under the bottom rope into the ring, and Xavier begins climbing the turnbuckles. As Madness gets to his feet Xavier dives off the top turnbuckle at him, but Madness drops down out of the way. Xavier sees it though and adjust rolling through and coming up to his feet. Xavier turns to see Madness charging with a clothesline but Xavier ducks it and charges to the turnbuckle were he springs to the middle rope. Xavier jumps and spins and catches Madness in a hurricanrana taking him over.*

Rockwell: Xavier Lux is still able to fly around in that cage.

Hood: I want to see someone fly off the top of that thing.

Rockwell: You're a sick man.

Hood: You know it would be cool to see.

Rockwell: Yeah, it would be cool actually.

*Marcus has Dark Lord by the hair and runs him to the ropes and throws him over the ropes to the floor by the hair. Marcus has a sadistic look on his face as he climbs out of the ring after Dark Lord. Marcus grabs Dark Lord, but Dark Lord lands a hard right to the stomach of Marcus. Dark Lord grabs Marcus by the ears and pulls him in for a jaw breaker with Dark Lord using his own head as a weapon. Back in the ring Xavier has Madness in the corner and shoots him off across the ring hard into the buckle Xavier follow up going for The Toxin (Whip to corner followed by picture perfect drop kick to jaw) but as Xavier flies in Madness moves out of the way and Xavier crashes into the turnbuckle and is stuck upside down with his feet tangled in the turnbuckle. Madness runs in and dives with an elbow drop to the jaw of Xavier why Xavier is stuck hanging upside down.*

Rockwell: It looks like the tide is turning in favor of the Nefarious Ones.

Hood: Would it be the Nefarious two?

Rockwell: I mean there are two of them but they themselves are nefarious.

Hood: Man, grammar is hard.

*On the outside Dark Lord has pulled a table out from under the ring and set it up against the cell in a standing position. Dark Lord grabs Marcus, but Marcus throws Dark Lords hands off of him and lands a hard right to the jaw. Dark Lord staggers and catches another right to the jaw. Marcus goes for a third, but as he does Madness nails a axe handle smash to the back. Marcus staggers as Dark Lord get up. Madness and Dark Lord then begin clobbering (when 4 hands is on 1 body at the same time) Marcus, beating Marcus down to the ground. Dark Lord points the table out to Madness and the NWO lift Marcus to his feet, clearly with evil intentions in mind. The NWO prepare to whip Marcus into the table when Xavier comes flying over the top rope with a spring board suicide dive knocking all three men to the ground.*

Rockwell: Xavier Lux just took the NWO out with the huge splash.

Hood: Yeah, but he also landed on his partner, what an idiot.

Rockwell: I'm sure that splash did less damage than being thrown through a table would have.

Hood: Debatable.

*Xavier gets to his feet and helps Marcus up to his feet as well and check on his partner. Xavier and Marcus look at the table and then look back at the NWO. Marcus grabs Madness and lifts him up, and the Sins of the Fathers prepare to shot Madness into the table when on the outside S&M slam into the cage, knocking the table over out of position. Marcus lets for of Madness and runs to the cage, kicking at it trying to get to Strangler and Masher as S&M taunt him through the chain link. Marcus turns to see Dark Lord charging for the Big Bang (spear) and Marcus side steps as Dark Lord crashes face first into the chain link. Marcus looks to see Xavier and Madness trading blows, with Xavier getting the upper hand, but Marcus charges with a forearm that catches Madness in the side of the head and drops him. Xavier grabs Madness up and rolls him into the ring and tells Marcus to go up top. Xavier rolls in and as Madness tries to sit up Xavier delivers Penalty kick to Madness, follow by Marcus coming off the second turnbuckle with an elbow drop (Hitman style). Xavier goes for the pin.*

One...

Two...

Kickout.

Rockwell: So much for the NWO being in control, Madness was almost pinned there.

Hood: Madness tames wild space horses; do you think he's going out to a kick and an elbow?

*Marcus is furious, and tells Xavier it is time to put Madness away. Xavier and Marcus grab Madness and pick him up, but then the Desolator crew catch their eye as they are banging at the cell door trying to get in, and notice that Sargent Snake has a pair of bolt cutters. Xavier and Marcus throw Madness to the mat and roll out of the ring ready for the Desolators, but suddenly GCWA security rush to ring side and grab the Desolator crew beginning to drag them away.*

Minos: I am being informed that per order of The Accelerator that the NWO are now, BANNED FROM RINGSIDE!

Hood: WHAT!?! NO! THAT OLD FART CAN'T DO THAT!

Rockwell: He can and he did.

*The crowd starts chanting "NA NA NA NA, HEY HEY, GOODBYE!" as Marcus and Xavier taunt the Desolator crew. Suddenly Masher clocks a security guard and breaks free and charges ring side, giving the rest of the crew break free and charge the cell. Security quickly grab them as reinforcements appear and gain control. Marcus and Xavier laugh but when they turn around Dark Lord and Madness are there. Madness cracks a chair over the top of Xavier's head and Dark Lord smashes his glass lightsaber over the head of Marcus. The glass of the saber goes flying and Marcus is cut open.*

Hood: Huh, I thought that was a real lightsaber.

Rockwell: Probably couldn't get the real one through the TSA security check.

Hood: Adrian, be realistic. Do you really think they go to an airport when they have a spaceship? I'm sure they have that lightsaber somewhere... maybe even ready to be used later on tonight in the Righteous Rumble...

*Dark Lord uses the broken glass of the lightsaber and begins digging it into Marcus's skull, digging into his skin and sending blood squirting. Madness has Xavier by the head and rams Xavier face first into the side of the cell and then begins grinding Xavier's face into the chain link, slicing Xavier's head open as well.*

Rockwell: Both members of Sins of the Fathers have been busted open.

Hood: The wags of sin is death Adrian, so Xavier and Marcus may pay that ultimate price tonight.

*Dark Lord throws the jagged saber handle to the mat and rolls the now bloody Marcus into the ring. Dark Lord rolls into the ring and as Marcus staggers to his feet Dark Lord charges and steam rolls Marcus with a big running shoulder tackle. Marcus hits the mat hard and Dark Lord comes back with a running splash. Madness whips a now bloody Xavier into the steel ring steps. Xavier crashes into the steps, knocking them apart and crumbling to the floor. Madness charges in and delivers a knee strike to the skull of Xavier, rattling Xavier's head into the steps. Madness hops on top of the bottom step and pulls Xavier up onto the step with him. Madness hooks Xavier and lifts him up and drops him with the Cowboy Crunch (jumping brain buster) onto the steel steps.*

Rockwell: OH MY! Madness may have just killed Xavier Lux.

Hood: Anything is legal in a Hell in a Cell match.

Rockwell: Murder is never legal in any type of match,

Hood: What about in a death match?

Rockwell: No not even then.

Hood: Then why is it called a death match?

*Madness stands over Xavier who lays in a blood heap. Madness then turns to see Dark Lord with Marcus on his knees and hammering Marcus with right hands, each blow sending blood flying. Suddenly Marcus fires a uppercutting low blow between Dark Lords legs. Dark Lord falls to his knees and is face to face with Marcus, and Marcus headbutts Dark Lord in the face knocking Dark Lord down. Marcus begins pushing himself to his feet, but Madness is already on the top rope. Madness leaps off with a double axe handle smash, but Marcus catches Madness in a reverse atomic drop. Marcus comes to his feet and hooks Madness for a brainbuster of his own and as Marcus lifts Madness, Madness twists out and comes down behind Marcus in a waist lock. Marcus fires a back elbow to Madness and then preforms a standing switch getting Madness in a waist lock. As Marcus holds the waist lock, Dark Lord pops up grabbing Marcus in a waist lock and German suplexing him, but Marcus holds on Madness and delivers a German suplex to Madness as well.*

Hood: Look at that power by Dark Lord.

Rockwell: Amazing power, but Madness took a hard fall on that too.

Hood: Scared money don't make money Adrian.

*Dark Lord gets to his feet and looks at both Marcus and Madness who are laying on the mat, and then begins looking around for Xavier. Dark Lord turns to see a superkick from Xavier coming. Dark Lord catches the kick and throws Xavier's leg away, but Xavier counters with a Pele kick. Dark Lord staggers but doesn't go down, Xavier leaps up and wraps his legs around Dark Lords head for a hurricanrana, but Dark Lord holds on using his power and runs Xavier into the corner and delivers a buckle bomb. Dark Lord immediately picks Xavier up and sits him on the top rope. Dark Lord quickly rolls to the outside and sits the table from earlier back up on the floor and then rolls back into the ring. Dark Lords begins climbing the ropes, when Xavier shows some signs of life and lands a right to the head of Dark Lord. Dark Lord responds with a headbutt to the now blood covered chest of Xavier. Dark Lord moves to the top rope and lifts Xavier up, but Xavier continues fighting, landing two hard rights. Xavier stands on the top rope and hooks Dark Lord and then delivers a superplex from the top to the table on the floor below. Both men crash through the table and their bodies lay in a broken pile with Xavier's blood now covering both men.*

Rockwell: THOSE TWO MEN ARE DEAD!

Hood: WOW!

Rockwell: That is it just, wow?

Hood: Yeah...

Rockwell: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, HOOD IS SPEECHLESS, WE ARE MAKING HISTORY!

*Madness rolls to his feet, and sees Marcus on all fours, Madness quickly catches Marcus in an Oklahoma Roll, hooking for a pin.*

One...

Two...

Kickout.

*Madness rolls up quicker then Marcus, but Marcus charges forward, placing his shoulder in Madness's stomach and wrapping his arms around Madness and driving him into the turnbuckle. Marcus holds onto Madness and pulls him out of the corner and hits a Northern Lights Suplex and brides for the pin.*

One...

Two...

Kickout.

Rockwell: Marcus Ka'Derrion and Madness are trading pin attempts here.

Hood: And meanwhile their partners are dead.

*Marcus and Madness get to their feet at about the same time, and Madness just sticks his thumb into the eye of Marcus, putting a stop to his offense. Marcus staggers back to the ropes holding his eye and Madness charges with a clothesline, taking Marcus and himself over the top rope to the outside. Madness lands on his feet but Marcus tumbles to the floor. Madness then goes under the ring while Marcus is down.*

Rockwell: What could Madness be looking for under there?

Hood: Why do we keep some much stuff under the ring?

Rockwell: OH MY! LOOK WHAT MADNESS FOUND!

*Madness pulls a piece of plywood from under the ring that has barbed wire attached to it. Marcus is pushing himself up as he sees Madness pulling the board out. Madness charges and should blocks the board into Madness's face. Madness gets sandwiched between he ring apron and the board. Marcus takes a few steps back against the cell wall and charges forward with a big splash onto the board crushing Madness. Marcus grabs the board and pulls it off of Madness, and drops it on the floor. Madness is leaned against the apron holding his head. Marcus grabs Madness and hooks him for a powerbomb, but Madness grabs Marcus's leg to block it. Marcus releases the waist lock and starts hammering Madness with forearms. Marcus grabs Madness and lifts him up to powerbomb him into the barbed wire when Madness counters with a hurricanrana and both men avoid the wire.*

Rockwell: Both men narrowly avoiding the barbed wire.

Hood: Madness has already been slammed with it. And will someone please tell me why that was under the ring.

Rockwell: No one knows, but it's exciting, it gets the crowd going.

*Madness gets to his feet and shoves the board against his waist and holds his arms wide holding the board at the sides, Madness lifts the board up and calls backwards dropping the board down onto Marcus. Madness quickly hops on the apron and runs down it and jumps off dropping an elbow on the board with Marcus underneath.*

Rockwell: Marcus Ka'Derrion is stuck between a barbed wire and a hard place.

Hood: Madness needs to get him in the ring to make the cover.

*Madness rips the board off of Marcus and lifts him up and rolls him into the ring, but stops as he looks at Dark Lord who is jut beginning to move along with Xavier. Madness hesitates but decides to go for Marcus. Madness hops on the apron and climbs the top turnbuckle. Madness points up to the sky and then leaps off with the Falling Star (top rope elbow drop), but Marcus rolls out of the way and Madness hits the mat.*

Rockwell: CRASH AND BURN FOR MADNESS!

Hood: Now all four men are down.

*Dark Lord and Xavier are both crawling towards the ring and both pull their selves up with the apron and roll into the ring at the same time. Dark Lord rolls on top of Marcus, while Xavier rolls onto Madness, both making a pin. The referee looks confused and then makes a count.*

One...

Two...

Kickout...

Rockwell: Both men kick out, how are they still moving?

Hood: So, who would have won that?

Rockwell: Honestly, I don't know.

*Xavier looks up and sees Dark Lord, and Dark Lord looks up to see Xavier. The two men crawl on all fours to one another until they are forehead to forehead. Both men lean against each other as they strand to their feet, talking trash the entire time. As they get to their feet Dark Lord slaps Xavier across the face. Xavier responds with a slap of his own. Dark Lord fires a right hand back, and Xavier responds with one of his own. Dark Lord and Xavier continue trading right hands back and forth until both men drop to their knees, still fighting. Dark Lord grabs Xavier's head and tries to slam it into the mat, but Xavier blocks it with his hands and fires an elbow to Dark Lord. Dark Lord pops up on his knees holding his jaw, Marcus then comes flying in with a shinning wizard to Dark Lord. Dark Lord falls to the mat and rolls under the bottom rope to the apron. Marcus helps Xavier up and signals for The Insinerator.*

Rockwell: Sins of the Fathers are going for it all here.

Hood: GET THE DESOLATOR CREW OUT HERE!

*Marcus lifts Madness up as Xavier climbs to the top turnbuckle. As Xavier gets to the top rope Dark Lord pops up and shoves Xavier off the rope. Xavier lands on the top rope crotching himself. Madness rolls forward with a victory roll hooking Marcus for a pin.*

One...

Two...

Kickout!

Rockwell: OH THAT WAS SO CLOSE!

Hood: I hope Xavier Lux has all the kids he wants, cause he probably can't have them after that.

*Marcus and Madness get to their feet at the same and Madness charges, Marcus sidesteps and uses Madness's momentum to grab Madness by the head and throw him over the top rope. Madness flies over the top rope and lands on the barbed wire. Marcus turns around and turns right into the arms of Dark Lord who lifts him onto his shoulders and goes for the Space Race (running power slam) but Marcus slides off of Dark Lords back and pushes him through the top and middle rope to the outside. Marcus rolls to the outside where Madness is trying to get unstuck from the barbed wire. Marcus throws a few stomps at Madness and bends down trying to pull him out of the wire. Suddenly Marcus hears the roar of the crowd and footsteps. Marcus looks up to see Dark Lord and gets nailed with the Big Bang (spear), but the force is so hard Dark Lord drives Marcus into the cell door and the lock breaks and the door flies open with Dark Lord and Marcus crashing to the outside.*

Rockwell: Not even Hell in a Cell can contain the feud that is Sins of the Fathers and the Nefarious Wrestling Outsiders.

Hood: Do you think they will fight for life?

Rockwell: Some days I really hate you.

*Dark Lord slowly pulls himself to his feet but as he gets up Xavier has limped over to him and now has the broken piece of lightsaber in his hand. Dark Lord begins to turn but as he does Xavier jabs the broken glass into his forehead. Dark Lord falls back against the security railing, and tries to fight Xavier off as the glass slices his skull open and blood begins to poor out.*

Hood: I think I'm going to be sick.

Rockwell: Oh please, we have seen much worse in the GCWA.

Hood: You're right, I have seen a Tony The Spider match before, most horrific thing ever.

*Dark Lord throws a knee strike into the ribs of Xavier, breaking Xavier's hold on him. Xavier stages a bit, but then turns back to Dark Lord holding the weapon. Dark Lord looks for an escape and begins climbing the cell wall, but Xavier gives chase.*

Rockwell: Both Dark Lord and Xavier Lux are climbing the side of the cell.

Hood: Oh this isn't going to end well. I just know someone is going to fall on us.

*Madness has freed himself from the wire and has begun climbing the cell as well. Dark Lord reaches the top of the cell first, and as Xavier starts to climb over the edge Dark Lord stomps his hand and Xavier drops the lightsaber. Dark Lord kicks the lightsaber off of the top of the cell and then grabs Xavier by the hair and begins lifting him up and hammering him with rights. Madness rolls over the top of the cell, but now Marcus is up and climbing too. Xavier is fighting back against Dark Lord, as the two bloody men exchange rights and lefts. Madness hits Xavier from behind with a forearm, and Dark Lord and Madness once again clubber Xavier.*

Rockwell: Things are not looking good for Xavier Lux.

Hood: Or for our announce table.

Rockwell: Here comes the cavalry though.

*Marcus rolls onto the roof of the cell and to his feet. Marcus charges and hits a double clothesline from behind on Dark Lord and Madness. Marcus grabs Xavier and helps him up and then turns his attention to Madness. Marcus grabs Madness and lifts him into position for His Legacy (Crucifix Powerbomb), but as Xavier grabs Dark Lord, Dark Lord lands a headbutt to Xavier's stomach and lifts Xavier up onto his shoulder for the Space Race (over the shoulder power slam). Marcus and Dark Lord look at each other and sneer and then slam their opponents at the same time. The roof of the cell gives way to the impact of the moves. The cell roof collapses and all four men go crashing to the ring mat below!!!*

Rockwell: GOOD LORD! SOMEONE GET A DOCTOR!

Hood: Whew! Our commentary table is spared.

Rockwell: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???

Hood: Stop yelling, Adrian, we're perfectly fine...

*One of the referees, the one stationed in the ring, is laying on his side, not moving. He probably got caught by part of the collapsing roof. Fortunately, there are other refs in case something like this happened, with one sliding into the ring. Well, sliding the best he can, as the ring has partially collapsed. He seems to check on each wrestler, making sure they're all still alive... and then starts a count!*

One...

Two...

Three!!!

Rockwell: What... we have a winner???

Hood: Someone must have landed on top... but who is it? I can't see from here!!

*The referee moves to the side, speaking through the partially-standing cell towards Minos, who nods his head. Already, medics are moving into the cage to check on the four men and patch them up as best they can. Minos, meanwhile, doesn't bother to enter, as standing in the ring isn't really possible at the moment. He instead moves to the side, raising up his mic.*

Minos: Here are your winners.... and NEW GCWA World Tag-Team Champions... Xavier Lux and Marcus Ka'Derrion... The Sins of the Fathers!!!

*The place explodes as we see a medic helping up an injured Xavier Lux, who doesn't seem to want his arm raised at the moment. Ka'Derrion struggles to get up as well, with the duo struggling to get to the side. Behind them, Dark Lord and Madness have both sat up, somehow able to move as well, although Madness looks the worst off.*

Rockwell: We have new tag-team champions!

Hood: Hell of an ending there, but we're going to need immediate clean-up crews in there to get us set back up for the Rumble!

*At this point, the video suddenly cuts back to the GCWA studios, where we see Hood and Rockwell nodding sagely to each other.*

Hood: They actually did a hell of a job getting a new ring set up that quickly, as well as removing all the debris.

Rockwell: I still can't believe Ka'Derrion and Lux were able to compete in the Rumble after that, with Ka'Derrion lasting so long!

Hood: It was a hell of a way to end a feud...

Rockwell: Hah. Hah hah.

The Accelerator: We've still got four awards to go, so stay tuned!

Deana Barrows: That was my line, Dad...

The Accelerator: Oh, sorry, I see a prompt come up and I just want to read it...

Deana Barrows: Okay, okay... we'll be right back!

*The picture fades out, after a few shots of the scariest and most violent moments of the Hell in a Cell match.*

*We return from the break to join Ace, Deana, Hood, and Rockwell once again in the GCWA Studios. What, you expected a change? Haven't you been watching the whole show to this point? Or have you just been checking out the winners and moving on from there? Not exactly surprising if you are. Anyhow, back to the quartet...*

Rockwell: We've got four awards left, and to most fans, they'd be seen as the biggest ones!

Hood: I'm assuming that's why they're at the end of the show.

Rockwell: Smart, Hood.

Hood: That's why they pay me the... well, they pay me. Hey, Ace, can we talk about that bonus?

The Accelerator: Yours must have been lost in the mail, Hood. Have your people call my people and we'll figure it out.

Hood: But I don't have any peop-

The Accelerator: Our next award is a brand-new one, something that hasn't happened in quite a while in the GCWA. But I suppose, Deana, you wanted it added due to your own affiliation with a stable?

Deana Barrows: I felt there were enough nominees to make it interesting, father, that's all.

The Accelerator: Well, I have to say, the results aren't exactly surprising... for The GCWA Stable of the Year, the runners-up went by two names throughout 2020. They were Sports Entertainment Xpress, and now they're known as the Nefarious Wrestling Outsiders!

=

*We start off our review footage with the first appearance of the members of S.E.X., with Terry Marshall and Space Lord being joined by their numerous crew-members/allies, such as fan-favorite Dark Helmet. We see their battles with several teams, especially focusing on their wars with The A-List leading to the infamous War Games. During that feud, The Cosmic Cowboy made his first appearance. We then see more footage of their fights with Legacy and The Sins of the Fathers, leading to the dramatic changed into the NWO, with Marshall becoming "Too Sweet", Space Lord changing to Dark Lord, and The Cosmic Cowboy becoming Madness. Their reign with the GCWA World Tag-Team Titles is pictured as is some clips from the Hell In A Cell match.*

Hood: They've had an amazing 2020, although I would have put The A-List ahead of them.

Rockwell: But S.E.X. won that War Games match, Hood. It makes sense that more voted for them.

Hood: Yeah, but they've changed. And Marshall's not even with them anymore, is he?

Rockwell: I don't know, Hood. It's complicated at the moment, I think.

The Accelerator: And so, the winner...

Deana Barrows: *Ahem* I think this is a good one for me to take over, father. The winner of the GCWA Stable of the Year Award... no surprise... is Legacy!!

*The coming together of Legacy is shown, with Warstein & Jackson joining with Hart & Raven after a Tag-Team Titles Gauntlet match to show they were a unit. The group fought hard, with Warstein adding the North American Title to their grasp. We see the assault at Fright or Flight, unifying the group against the World Champion, and the subsequent aftermath of James Raven becoming World Champion. We also see the group helping Betsy Granger to win the Righteous Rumble, tossing out The Big Bifford at the end.*

Hood: Truly, there hasn't been a stable that's been so dominant in the GCWA like Legacy has been. And they haven't even gotten a full year in yet!

Deana Barrows: Trust me, Hood, the best is yet to come. Let me just put this award with the others...

The Accelerator: Too bad they couldn't keep the ultimate prize, eh? But then, Granger will get her chance against Mack O'Connor soon enough... assuming Raven doesn't demand the shot for himself.

Deana Barrows: You don't understand Legacy at all if you think that's going to happen. father. But rest assured, that title and all others are coming back to Legacy soon enough. The Legacy Era is just getting started.

Rockwell: Before things get out of hand here, how about we continue with our awards?

Hood: Yeah, I mean, with the two of you here, I don't know who to kiss up to more. It's very confusing. More awards would be appreciative.

The Accelerator: Sure, Hood, I understand. Then let's talk about The GCWA Tag-Team of the Year. Several tag-teams were eligible after winning the Tag-Team Titles, giving us some brilliant contests. Really, though, I'd say the division has hit new heights in the past three months. It's not surprising, then, that the winners come from that time span. First, our runners-up... having had a strong run as the champions... Jackson Hart & James Raven of Legacy!!

*Footage rolls of Jackson Hart & James Raven coming together as a new tag-team and immediately catching on fire, winning the Gauntlet match over several seasoned teams to become the champions. We see their run at the top, battling some of the strongest teams in GCWA history to stay in control, including winning an Ultimate X match over Sports Entertainment Xpress and The Sins of the Fathers. Despite the controversial ending, the champs still came out on top.*

Deana Barrows: I think we might need a recount on this category...

The Accelerator: I admit, I was surprised as well, but the ballots speak for themselves, Deana. It took one more vote for this category to be determined. Our winners of the GCWA Tag-Team of the year... possibly helped by winning the Hell In A Cell... Marcus Ka'Derrion & Xavier Lux, The Sins of the Fathers!!

*We cut to the first reappearance of The Sins of the Fathers, which also happened at the Gauntlet match for the GCWA World Tag-Team Titles. Ka'Derrion, a GCWA Hall of Famer, worked well with Lux, the son of a wrestling legend, as the team took down several opponents in the Gauntlet. We see their battles with Legacy, with Ka'Derrion & Lux managing to win away the championships thanks in part to the appearance of The Accelerator. We then review their war with the NWO once again, with The Sins of the Fathers regaining the belts to become two-time champions at The Righteous Rumble.*

Rockwell: A two-time championship team, it makes sense that Ka'Derrion & Lux won this award.

Hood: Yep, but now they've got so many teams gunning after them, just as they're about ready to show how strong they are in the singles ranks. It isn't going to be easy.

Rockwell: It never is, Hood. That's part of the reason why it's exciting.

Deana Barrows: I do want to announce here tonight that Legacy will be challenging for those belts in the coming weeks, once all details are worked out.

The Accelerator: I'm sure the NWO would like another opportunity as well eventually, plus Life Before Death and Enforcer & Justice are still out there.

Deana Barrows: As always, then, may the best team win...

Rockwell: We've got two awards left! Should we take a commercial break?

Deana Barrows: Why wait?

The Accelerator: Screw that, boyo...

Hood: Yeah, what are you thinking, Adrian?

Rockwell: Well, mainly I'm thinking about the businesses that paid for ad space...

Hood: We'll get them next time, don't worry. What's the next one, Deana?

Deana Barrows: The second-to-last award tonight is the GCWA Match of the Year! There were some matches this year that would have surely won the award in other years, but came up a little short. Let's take a look back at the greatness that was 2020!

*The video rolls, showing us some of the biggest matches of 2020. We see clips of Ed Houston and Dylan Thomas going at it for the World Title, with Houston coming out on top. The Ultimate Survival finals flash by, with The Big Bifford surviving the odds against him. We see the intense fatal fourway between Mack O'Connor, Ed Houston, The Big Bifford, and PerZag. Several matches from the Warriors of the Ring Tournament are shown, followed by the insane War Games match between The A-List and Sports Entertainment Xpress. We end with Legacy and The Sins of the Fathers battling it out for the World Tag-Team Titles.*

Deana Barrows: All of these matches were spectacular, but only two matches rose to the level of the award this year. The runner-up for the GCWA Match of the Year, from June 2020, we had the Blood Feud match between Dylan Thomas and Mike Zybala!

*A few clips run, showing the growing battles between Dylan Thomas and Mike Zybala, including Zybala's run as a referee in one of the A-List matches, and the multiple beatdowns from The A-List. We see the Blood Feud match come to fruition, with the match featuring a brawl between The A-List and Peter "The Janitor" Vaughn, The Uber-Man, & Aaron Warthog. During the chaos, both Thomas and Zybala bled buckets, which was a requirement for a pinfall to be attempted. In the end, Zybala smashed Thomas into an exposed turnbuckle, then got the Sound of Silence for the victory, ending their insane feud.*

Hood: I still cringe at the end of that one. I never knew a ghost could bleed like that.

Rockwell: It was a war to end all wars, Hood. But it unfortunately went up against a more recent contest, one that had a lot more participation...

Deana Barrows: That's right, Adrian. Our winner for Match of the Year had the most competitors of any event this year. I'm referring, of course, to the 33-Wrestler Righteous Rumble match!

*Video runs on the most recent Pay-Per-View for the GCWA, showing us the Righteous Rumble match. We see the long run of PerZag and Marcus Ka'Derrion, continually facing off throughout the match. The Star Wars battle between Valis Deathbringer and Dark Lord is featured, as is the surprise appearances of wrestlers like Chelsea LeClair and Vincent Langston. We get near the end, when Legacy members surprisingly came out after the #30, getting the advantage. We see the final members, with Shawn Warstein tossing out Mike Zybala, only for Zybala to help The Big Bifford get rid of Warstein. Legacy then returned, attacking Bifford and helping Betsy Granger get rid of him for the shocking victory.*

Deana Barrows: I can't think of a match more fitting for Match of the Year...

The Accelerator: I might have considered Mack O'Connor vs. James Raven, but what do I know?

Rockwell: Obviously, the Righteous Rumble was very fresh in people's minds, but that will always happen in votes like this.

Hood: And it was a MONSTER match, after all...

Rockwell: Fuck yes, it was.

The Accelerator: So, is it time? Time to crown the best wrestler of the year?

Deana Barrows: Indeed it is, father. The GCWA Wrestler of the Year is the most prized award available. It signals the wrestler seen as the most dangerous competitor in the organization, the wrestler that had the greatest year throughout 2020. Let's look quickly at our nominees...

*We begin to see clips for each wrestler eligible for Wrestler of the Year. Ed Houston is shown first, with his dominant run at the beginning of the year, fending off multiple challengers to his World Heavyweight Title. We next see Chelsea LeClair, as she raises up both the North American and World Heavyweight Titles at the same time before vacating the NA Title. Next is Mack O'Connor, who is given a split-screen shot to show him twice raising up the GCWA World Heavyweight Title. James Raven is next, shown working as a tag-team specialist with Jackson Hart followed by his run at the top of the GCWA. Finally, we see Mike Zybala, defending the Unified X-Division Title and also running Outsiders Wrestling.*

Deana Barrows: Suffice to say, just to be nominated is a huge sign of how well these wrestlers were respected.

The Accelerator: They probably all deserve the bonus, but, y'know, it's been a tough year for all around...

Deana Barrows: So let's go with our runner-up. Ace, if you'll do the honors?

The Accelerator: You want me to... oh, okay. I see. So our runner-up this year... is the two-time GCWA World Heavyweight Champion, Mack O'Connor!

*We once again get a roll of footage, showing Mack O'Connor making his first appearances in the GCWA since the OCW closed. We see him defeating Duce Jones to earn a #1 Contendership spot, then going to war with Ed Houston, surprising Houston with a roll-up to become the new World Champion. O'Connor then went on to defeat three men at once to stay the champion, fighting off all comers for a good while. But change is inevitable, and O'Connor finally lost, sending him back to prison. But we then skip to O'Connor's shocking return at Darkness Falls, and footage runs of him defeating James Raven to become the two-time champion.*

Rockwell: I must admit, I'm surprised. The only two-time champ this year only got runner-up?

Hood: Don't cause any doubt in our voting process, Adrian. It's not democratic.

The Accelerator: So I suppose, daughter, that the reason you wanted me to read the runner-up is...

Deana Barrows: Correct, father. The winner of the GCWA Wrestler of the Year... James Raven!!

*For the final time tonight, we go to the review footage. Once more, we see James Raven making his debut in the GCWA with Jackson Hart, forming a powerful tag-team that went all the way to the top. Raven then focused on the singles ranks after The Legacy Era began, with him being crowned the World Heavyweight Champion at Darkness Falls. We see footage of his battles with Mack O'Connor, along with the promise that he'll be back at the top sooner rather than later.*

Deana Barrows: And there we have it! Legacy shows once again how great it is!

The Accelerator: I will say that James Raven has had a great year in the GCWA, as he has done in so many other promotions. Congratulations to him.

Rockwell: Yes, a major accomplishment added to an already long list of accolades.

Hood: The guy's a god in the wrestling business, Adrian. A god!

Deana Barrows: This concludes our look back at 2020, one of the craziest years ever. But one that will always be remembered as the year The Legacy Era began...

Rockwell: As well as for the year women took over the top of the GCWA for a time...

The Accelerator: And the return of the Mack...

Hood: And Zybala getting pinned by Aaron Warthog AND Barry Barrows!

*Everyone stops to look at Hood for a moment, who doesn't look ashamed at all.*

Hood: Hey, you pick your favorite moments, and I'll pick mine.

The Accelerator: Okay then. Here's looking forward to 2021, boyos! May it be a hell of a lot more enjoyable year than 2020 ever could be!

Deana Barrows: I can agree to that!

*Out of nowhere, Deana has produced a champagne bottle, popping the cork and spraying champagne out. She quickly works to fill some glasses, with everyone partaking of the drink.*

Rockwell: I can't wait to see what comes next!

Hood: Whatever happens, you know it's going to be exciting, probably unpredictable, and certainly a thrill-ride!

The Accelerator: Good night, all!

*The four do a quick toast with the champagne, each silently praying that 2021 is 1000x times better than 2020. We fade out.*

OOC: Congratulations to all the award winners! I was happy that we got over a dozen ballots in, during this busy time. Hope you've all had a wonderful holidays, as we get back to work starting now! Good luck!
